It has extended open time and no vertical slip, using Fibre Strength Tech, and provides high initial and final adhesion strength and moisture resistance.

What Is MA-355 Masterflex White Tile Adhesive?

MA-355 Masterflex White is a flexible, cement-based tile adhesive that doesn’t slip on vertical surfaces, so tiles stay in place on walls while you work. The white colour suits light-coloured and translucent tiles where a grey bed could show through. The extended open time gives tilers longer to adjust each tile before the adhesive skins over.

Where Can I Use MA-355 Masterflex White?

MA-355 Masterflex White is used for fixing interior ceramic floor and wall tiles, including absorbent and non-absorbent tiles such as porcelain, on substrates such as concrete and brickwork. It can also be used for granite, natural stone, decorative bricks and large-format tiles on substrates such as concrete and brickwork, both indoors and outdoors, and on heated floors.

How Much MA-355 Masterflex White Do I Need?

Matis gives the consumption as 3-5 kg per square metre, depending on the surface. A 25kg bag therefore covers roughly 5 to 8 square metres. Choose a notch size that suits your tile size, and allow a little extra.

How Do I Mix and Apply MA-355 Masterflex White

Slowly add the powder to about 7 to 7.5 litres of water per 25kg of white powder, stirring continuously with a low-speed mixer until you have a smooth paste. Leave it to rest for about 10 minutes, then stir again briefly. Spread the adhesive onto the substrate with the flat side of the trowel, then comb it with the notched side. Fix the tiles into the notched adhesive within the open time, pressing firmly. Apply between +5°C and +35°C. Tiles must not be exposed to water for at least 24 hours. Always check the technical data sheet before starting, and make sure the surface is free of dust, grease and loose particles.
